Dynamic or static QR codes: which should you choose?

A dynamic QR code lets you change its destination link after printing. A static QR directly contains its destination and its printed pattern cannot be updated.

How does a dynamic QR code work?

QR Code • StudioQG encodes a stable redirect address in your code. When someone scans it, the service sends them to your chosen page. You can replace this destination in your account without changing the pattern. Manage the page content on your own website.

When should you choose dynamic?

For a business card, event programme, catalogue or document that may change. Create the code, test its destination, export it and print it. When updating, change the link and test a scan from an existing printed copy.

What are the limits?

An already printed static QR cannot become dynamic. Redirects require the service and an active subscription. Every QR in your StudioQG collection remains tied to the account and subscription, with either a classic or artistic appearance. See the plans for current prices.
